19 Jul All aspects of your being
You are a multi-faceted being. Make sure you are tuning in to all aspects of your being daily. Writing a little list of the way you spend your time, honestly, and checking off that you tending to yourself is a good place to start. Not to be rigid and strict, but just to help highlight what things you do in a day that feed these parts of yourself, and where there are imbalances.
EMOTIONAL: Be with yourself
Rather than allow your mind to banter restlessly, what’s underneath, what are you not looking at on the periphery? Tell someone, even if that’s just speaking it aloud to yourself. Take a moment to feel your emotional state as it is, without judgement. Meditate.
SOCIAL: Be with other beings
Smile at a stranger, start a conversion with someone you see at the coffee shop, take your dog for a walk, call a friend. We are primates that have evolved to live in groups with about 50 people that know us intimately, and another 150 people who we see from time to time.
FINANCIAL: Allow abundance
Work hard at something that supports you. Be generous and give a bit of what you create to a worthy cause. Giving and receiving go hand in hand. Abundance is a flow state. Money is not negative or positive, it is neutral, it is our attitude and actions that give it meaning.
ENVIRONMENTAL: Be a self aware being
What impact am I having on my environment? Tune in. Be sustainable. Remain aware. Lessen your waste.
INTELLECTUAL: Activate your intellect, logic, and reason
Feed you mind with interesting and inspiring information. Watch a Ted talk rather than a movie. Podcasts are great too.
PHYSICAL: Be an embodied being
Your body is designed to move, and typing just doesn’t cut it. Exercise intentionally or joyfully; preferably both. Join a sport team. Go for a walk or swim. Be outside. If there’s pain, note that, and take steps to lesson the pain, whilst also learning how to not react.
SPIRITUAL: You are a divine being
Whatever it is you believe in, there is a space we can cultivate, a sacred and quiet place that is connected to the cosmos. A trust. A surrender to the life force and processes of life. If we sit quietly long enough, feeling into our hearts, this place grows louder and louder. Being in nature is a great way to connect with spirit.
🙂
Remember, you are a human being, not a human doing 🙂 It may take some practice to lock in good habits, but ultimately they support us to flow more freely, easily, and aligned with our true selves.
